I am a Gamer.

Hath not a Gamer eyes? hath not a Gamer hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions? fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, healed by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer, as a non-Gamer is?

If you frag us, do we not bleed? if you critically miss us, do we not laugh? if you camp us, do we not cry? and if you grief us, shall we not revenge?

You didn't have to pay a pound of chips for that, did you?

... it's the motion sickness gamer!

I thought it would be better to write to your journal instead of posting on someone else's!

Ty for the pointer, now that I think about it, Gears was ok but ditto - Halo = hurling.

And to respond to your post as well, until recently I worked at a game store so.. tell me about it. You'd be surprised by the amount of regular customers we have arguing in our store. The most popular being the old "my-console-is-better than-yours" argument. It's so fun.

As long as it offers good games for a reasonable cost, BFD. Every console has its plusses and minuses. I don't have a PS3, but that's only because there's not enough out to warrant a purchase in my mind (current set: XBox, 360, PS2, GCN, Wii, DS, PSP).

The only platform I'm dead set against is PC, and that's not because of the games, but because of everything around it. I don't trust DRM on a general purpose system and I got sick and tired of publish then patch. I deal enough with that crap at work (I'm a developer doing a lot of security work), I just want to stick a game in and play, not worry whether or not it will destroy my data or connecting to the net needlessly or whether the game will even work.
